Military Industry Today Publishes STARRS’s
Letter to JCS Chairman
|
|
On 11 Feb, Lt Gen Rod Bishop, CAPT Tom Burbage, COL Pat Hueman and many others signed a letter to GEN Mark Milley, the outspoken Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In this letter, STARRS, The Calvert Group, and West Point alums expressed grave concerns about the politicization of the military by means of the radical Critical Race Theory, support for the neo-Marxist group Black Lives Matter, and enthusiastic implementation of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) throughout the military – all to the detriment of readiness, unit cohesion and morale. The letter was discussed in Edition 16 of the STARRS Newsletter, released 22 Feb, and a copy is posted on our website.
On 24 February, The Washington Examiner published an excellent commentary about the letter in protest Milley's ‘woke’ political agenda. The letter was also picked up and discussed in MilitaryIndustryToday.com on
8 Mar.

How 'Social Justice' is Killing the Military
|
|
This opinion piece published in American Thinker argues that in our US military, possibly the least racist organization in America, one’s identity or race is irrelevant in combat when an adversary is trying to kill you and your teammates. No one cares about race when bullets are whizzing past your head. Yet the Biden Administration continues to declare white supremacy as America’s number one threat, and has pushed the Secretary of Defense to create the “Counter Extremism Working Group” to uncover extremism in the military ranks. With 3.1 million personnel in uniform, DOD reports less than 100 annual incidents of “extremism,” without adequately defining “extremism.”
The military’s embrace of CRT with its ambiguous terminology of equity (as opposed to equality) is demanding equality of outcomes (usually quotas), which is anti-merit, or more sinisterly implementing reformulated Marxism.

STARRS’ Gen Bishop Interviewed by One America News Network, Addresses CRT Taking Over U.S. Military
|
The U.S. military is supposed to be the least political institution in the country. However, recent stand-down orders and recruitment videos show how far leftist politics can affect even the most staunchly apolitical organizations.
STARRS Chairman Lt Gen Rod Bishop joined Dana Alexa on One America News (OAN) to discuss how Critical Race Theory and radicalism are taking over the armed forces.

The Military-Industrial-Critical Race Theory Complex
Bishop Garrison, senior advisor to the SecDef for Human Capital and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), says that DEI in the military are necessities for the United States. He also affirmed the Pentagon’s commitment to Critical Race Theory (CRT).
Garrison was part of a panel at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). CNAS has received funding from every major defense contractor, Wall Street’s biggest banks, several foreign governments, and George Soros’ Open Societies Foundation.
The relationship between Garrison, CNAS, and the Pentagon is illustrative of the military-industrial-academic complex, which is pushing a left-wing diversity agenda unfriendly to the interests of most Americans. The military’s role as apolitical is being redefined, which risks destroying unit cohesiveness, and ultimately the military’s effectiveness in defending our nation.

Military Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (DIE) Lives Up to Its Acronym
This colorful but caustic opinion piece by Col Schlichter lambasts the Biden Administration’s attention on “diversity, inclusion and equity” (DIE) at the expense of combat readiness. In a time of serious challenges and real world threats facing our nation, the Pentagon is engaging in silly posturing, like obsessing over Woke pronouns. That might put more stars on the epaulets of a bunch of political generals who’ve not won a real war in 31 years, but it will not help defeat American’s enemies.

San Diego County School Retracts ‘Wheel of Privilege’ Teaching Tool
By Brad Jones
A school in San Diego County claims it has removed a “Wheel of Privilege” graphic from its professional development training materials after the image was exposed on social media and parents objected.
The image was touted as part of professional development training by the Black Mountain Middle School in Poway Unified School District (PUSD), according to the Californians For Equal Rights Foundation (CFER), whose executive director posted the graphic on Twitter.
The “Wheel of Power/Privilege” teaching tool was designed to rank people by power and privilege based on skin color, body size and gender identity, as well as citizenship, language, wealth and other factors.
CFER stated in a Feb. 9 newsletter that it was “alarmed by such a such divisive narrative, rooted in CRT and intended for middle-schoolers.”
“We exposed the issue on social media. In the meantime, PUSD parents and residents contacted the school leadership to demand explanations,” CFER stated.

North Carolina Dad Slams School Board Over Critical Race Theory and Gender Indoctrination
By Hannah Nightingale
Brian Echevarria, a North Carolina father, is running for District 73 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. One of the main tenets of his campaign is to stop Critical Race Theory. Mr. Echevarria spoke at a local school board meeting urging parents to "take the wheel back" in their children’s education and commended the school board for passing a resolution last summer that banned CRT teachings in the district.
"If you believe in CRT, I want to tell you, you're a liar,” he said. “Because that means you look at your black neighbor and say that they're oppressed, and you look at your white neighbor and say that they're evil, regardless of the experience that you had with them. And we're not going to do that."

A Stop Vax Passports Task Force Webinar: COVID MANDATES: Destroying the Military & Deep Sixing the Evidence
STARRS seeks not only to stop racism in an apolitical environment of the US military, but also to shine light on institutional behaviors which we believe to be radical. The DOD COVID-19 vaccine mandates, despite significant evidence of the detrimental effects the vaccines are having on our military members, remain in effect.
Attorney Tom Renz testified in a hearing hosted by Senator Ron Johnson on 24 Jan 2022, that at least three military officer whistle-blowers from the Department of Defense had signed affidavits identifying data which showed a 20x, or higher in some cases, increase in severe reactions to the COVID-19 shots. Later, the data had been altered to show only 2x for myocarditis specifically.
Renz indicated miscarriages and cancers were up 300 percent over the 5 year average. Neurological injuries showed a 1000 percent increase. Attorney Renz declared our soldiers are being experimented on, injured, and in some cases killed. Renz said on 9/28/21, Project Sales, a DOD initiative, provided data to the CDC which showed “71 percent of new cases were fully vaxxed, 60 percent hospitalizations fully vaxxed”.
STARRS’s very own Dr. Scott Sturman (at mark 21:00 in the webinar video) states the best medical option remains relying on natural immunity due to the primacy of its robust protection. Scott points out that Vaccine Adverse Effects Reporting System (VAERS) data is often ten times under-reported, largely because there’s little incentive for medical professionals to enter data.

BOOTS ON GROUND PERSPECTIVES
NATIONAL CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM (NLCS)
Notes from a STARRS Member Who Attended This Event at the U.S. Air Force Academy
February 24-25, 2022
- The overall NCLS was excellent. All presentations I attended were outstanding.
- Overall messages were about overcoming obstacles in your life, focus on your dreams, put in the work to achieve your dreams.
- America needs unity, not division.
-
Keynote speaker for NCLS was George Takei, author of the book, They Called Us Enemy. His presentation was limited to the Cadet Wing. I talked with some attendees who attended the presentation. Feedback was that, overall, it was historical and not unreasonable. Ninety percent ok, but he went off the rails during the Q&A. Trashed President Trump, saying he hates Muslims. He said citizens who attend School Board meetings are uneducated. General comment was that he felt if you disagreed with him, you were uneducated. Personally, I am puzzled why this man was selected to open the NCLS in a restricted forum. All other presentations were open to all attendees.
