Help with STEAD Animals Over Break

Dain would like to ask- If there are any families who could stop by campus over the November break (11/14-11/25) to check on our animals and fill their food and water. It is a pretty simple task and the chickens, baby chicks and rabbits would appreciate it! Email Dain dholland@thesteadschool.org and let him know.

Hearing and Vision Screening

Hearing & Vision Screening - 12/5/22 - Colorado State Law mandates a vision and hearing screening annually. Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are screened. In addition, all students in learning services, new to the district or referred by teachers are screened. Our District Nurse will be on site conducting those screenings. Parents will be notified if any follow up is needed.

Winter Sports

Please be sure to have your physical completed and submitted before the first day of practice. Coaches will not allow you to participate without a physical.

SAC/PAC Updates

SAC Meeting on 11/10/22

The SAC has a meeting on Thursday, November 10th from 6:00-8:00pm at STEAD. The meeting is open to the public to attend.

Community Updates

We are looking for snacks for our students. Donations will be accepted throughout the school year. If you are able to donate please drop off individual prepackaged, healthy snacks at the front office. Please avoid sugary snacks and produce. Thank you! We appreciate our STEAD community!

Our PAC has scheduled an awesome Community Spirit Night Event at Dions on November 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm at the 104th and Chambers location. Make sure to let them know you are there supporting STEAD and the hive guide with the most students in attendance wins a pizza party!

Open Enrollment Begins December 1st!

Open Enrollment for new to STEAD 9th-11th graders for the 2023-2024 school year begins on December 1st. Spread the word! An Intent to Return form will be sent to current students next semester.

Construction Picture Update

Classroom Spotlight-Spanish Class Exhibition at Regis

After weeks of preparation the STEAD Spanish students installed their Day of the Dead exhibition at Regis University this past Tuesday, Nov. 1st. Students were invited to compete against 7 metro high schools and over 150 students! After installing the exhibition we spent the day on campus partaking in games, day of the dead activities and talks, student speeches, a taco truck adventure, and more--with Spanish being the official language of the event! Our students did an amazing job and during the awards ceremony took home 3rd place!!!! This is STEAD's first trofeo... ¡Nuestros studiantes son fantásticos!
