CADRE, the resource network of NSF's DRK-12 Program and author of these newsletters, is coming to a close. This will be our final newsletter sharing NSF STEM education research opportunities. We hope you have found these newsletters helpful! The cadrek12.org website will be archived in 2026 so that you are still able to access its STEM education research resources.

Spotlight on Student Assessment Research

The 2023 report, Classroom-based STEM Assessment: Contemporary Issues and Perspectives, took stock of what we currently know about classroom assessment and discusses ways we can make assessment maximally beneficial for the teaching and learning of STEM subject matter in K–12 classrooms. Report author and editor James Pellegrino follows up this report with a recent blog post that reflects on NSF's DRK–12 program contributions to the knowledge base on student assessment.
