The CADRE Early Career Guide offers advice on becoming a successful researcher in the field of STEM education, and a portrait of an early career researcher support program.

The advice offered throughout the guide comes from experienced principal investigators (PIs) and others who are part of the National Science Foundation's Discovery Research PreK-12 (DR K-12) community.

  • Tips for Developing NSF Proposals: The advice offered in these tips guide you through the proposal development process, from the earliest stages of developing your proposal idea through the NSF review process and beyond.

While not an exhaustive list, these resources provide a starting point for early career researchers as they explore how to build their career.

This section of the guide provides a detailed description of the structure, objectives, and learning activities of the CADRE Fellows Program for doctoral students. We hope those who work with early career researchers will use this resource in their mentoring efforts.
