Invest in Your Staff - Join STEM Peer Learning Community
We know staff could be feeling fatigued and drained at this point in the school year. We believe one of the best ways your programs can care for your staff at this moment is to invest in their learning and growth. AzCASE is offering a space for out-of-school time staff from across the state who are leading STEM programming to come together to collectively learn from one another and to create an opportunity to cultivate connections with other passionate professionals in afterschool.

We hope you enroll and encourage your staff to participate in the Million Girls Moonshot Peer Learning community to ensure they have the tools they need and feel confident in facilitating engaging STEM activities for their youth.

The Million Girls Moonshot Peer Learning Community will provide a unique space to:
  • Get real-time peer support with leading STEM programming.
  • Explore effective facilitation of STEM activities.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and pitfalls.
  • Tap into the expertise of STEM Next, a national leader in STEM learning and capacity building

What can I expect?
This is a cohort-based experience where participants share in a learning and support journey from start to finish.

Cohort members will participate in:
  • Four 1-hour live virtual sessions every other week
  • Held Tuesdays at 10am from March 29th to May 10th
  • Self-paced online training modules to explore new STEM facilitation strategies

The sessions will be shaped by the needs of the cohort and will center peer cross-sharing and thought partnership. STEM Next online modules will be integrated to support exploration of effective STEM activity facilitation with children and youth.

Each member will receive a certificate of completion and the cohort will be recognized in the AzCASE newsletter.

Ready to join?
Submit an enrollment form by Thursday, March 10th. Space is limited and enrollment will be confirmed on a rolling basis until the cohort is filled.

Teams of 2-3 from each program are encouraged to enroll. Each person must submit an enrollment form to participate.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day!
February 24, 2022
Introduce a Girl to Engineering, or Girl Day, is a time when volunteers, educators, and others act as role models, facilitate engineering activities, and show girls how engineers change our world. DiscoverE’s Despite the Odds research found that this simple formula helps girls develop an interest in engineering, builds their confidence in their problem-solving skills, and creates a STEM identity.
