This is to advise you that
effective December 31, 2018 the Broadcast Email System (BES) currently being operated by the Commercial Division will cease to operate
. There was much discussion and debate in arriving at this decision. Ultimately, this was the recommendation from the Commercial Division on how best to move forward and that recommendation was subsequently ratified by the board of directors at its November 14th meeting.
When it was launched nearly two years ago as a service of the Commercial Division, the intent was for the BES to fill an important void in the commercial real estate community. The emergence of the Catylist system in our marketplace subsequent to Xceligent’s demise and a desire to establish Catylist as a dominant commercial platform were the two overriding factors in the decision to cease this service. The Catylist platform contains a robust broadcast email component and it has become cost prohibitive to the Commercial Division to support two competing systems. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause you.
As you are likely aware, earlier this year, St. Louis Commercial Data Systems (STLCDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Louis REALTORS®, partnered with Catylist Real Estate Software, Inc. to provide a fully researched commercial real estate platform. This platform and database is now fully populated with in excess of 7,700 active listings. This service includes a very robust “Haves” and “Needs” email blast and it has become the preferred platform for several commercial markets.
