Slaveholding Exhibit at UST
The University of St. Thomas is hosting the exhibit "What We Inherit: Truth, Repair and a Promise to the Future" through November 7. In 1838, the Jesuits of Maryland sold 314 enslaved men, women, and children to plantation owners in Louisiana. With impactful audio and video components, this immersive 28-panel exhibit examines the legacy of slavery that we all inherit, and asks what each of us owes to the future. This exhibit is in the Iversen Center for Faith, open daily, free of charge. Click here to learn more.
