Lenten Reconciliation and Anointing Service

MARCH 3, 7:00 PM, STM CHURCH

All are welcome to join us for our Lenten Reconciliation and Anointing Service. The liturgy will consist of Eucharistic Adoration, communal prayer, and an opportunity for individual reconciliation. Afterward there will be an opportunity for individual anointing. Come and receive!

Giving Statements Update

Our annual giving statements are running slightly behind schedule this year due to a delay in transferring data between our record-keeping systems. We expect to have them sent out to all parishioners within the coming weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, especially for those preparing to file taxes. If you need your statement sooner, please don't hesitate to reach out to the parish office directly and we will do our best to assist you promptly.

AMDG Recruitment

All young adults are invited to participate in the AMDG Program through the Institute for Ignatian Spirituality at Boston College. With other young adults from around the country, you will explore the teachings of St. Ignatius through prayer and service, including a pilgrimage to Spain! Email our AMDG Ambassador Ava Krize or speak with our parish office to sign up.

Free Store Requests

Having served 200 people since the start of 2026, we find ourselves at this time in need of bar soap, washcloths, men's x-large briefs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and pantyliners. Please place your donations in the bins in the Gathering Space. Together we succeed in the mission of the Free Store, proving a small room tucked in the basement of a school can accomplish mighty works!

Gift Cards for Groceries

The Metro Surge is ending! Unfortunately this does not even remotely decrease the fear and need among our immigrant population. Please continue to donate Grocery Gift Cards to the STM Immigration Support grocery ministry so we can continue to buy and deliver groceries. Gift cards can be to any place - Aldi/ Costco/Visa gift cards are popular. Drop them off at the STM office or in the weekend collection plate. If you want to contribute an e-gift card, please send it to stthomasmoregroceries@proton.me

This STM grocery ministry has fed more than 100 families, and the need continues! This support has made a huge difference.

The Rite of Sending–OCIA Update from Fr. Peter

Last Sunday, the St. Thomas More community witnessed the fruits of God’s ongoing work in the hearts of our 16 OCIA participants. 3 catechumens (unbaptized) and 13 candidates (baptized) have been preparing to enter the Catholic Church, and recently went through the Rite of Sending. Stations of The Cross

MARCH 6, 5:00–5:30 PM, STM CHURCH

Join us for Stations of The Cross every Friday at 5:00 PM! On March 6, our Care for Creation Team will lead the evening, centering around caring for the environment.

We will also offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation beforehand from 4:30–5:00 PM.

STM Spring Musical Tickets

Join our Volunteer Choir

Join our regular Parish Choir members for our Volunteer Choir liturgy! All are welcome to join for this one time commitment, open to singers ages 12 and older. Please meet in the choir area by the front to rehearse one hour before Mass. Email Kellen O'Grady with any questions.

Mass & Lenten Reflection

All are invited to join the Midwest Jesuits and the Saint Thomas More for a Mass and Lenten Reflection. There will be coffee and donuts following Mass in Ignatius Hall, along with a special Lenten Reflection from Fr. Warren! Team Savvy Mass & Lunch

Following Mass, parishioner Kay Miller will speak on STM's Stations of the Cross, their interesting history, and the difficulties in repairing them after years of damage. After, there will be time to walk the Stations of the Cross and meditate silently on each one. Bring a friend and a bag lunch, and enjoy this program! RSVP here for this event.

Ecumenical Choral Vespers

MARCH 12, 7:00 PM, ST PAUL-REFORMATION LUTHERAN CHURCH

Join us for Ecumenical Choral Vespers during Lent, featuring the choirs of Saint Thomas More, St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, and St. Paul-Reformation Lutheran Church. The service is modeled after the evening praise of all three liturgical traditions. We are delighted to participate in this opportunity of ecumenism!

Lenten Fish Fry #2

Bach's Birthday Bash

MARCH 21, 1:00 PM, STM CHURCH

For nearly twenty years, the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Guild of Organists has sponsored a celebration of Bach’s birthday (March 21, 1685). This ‘bash’ consists of five free hour-long organ concerts at different venues around the Twin Cities, including STM! Immigrant Support Book Club

MARCH 26, 7:00 PM, IGNATIUS HALL

The Immigrant Support Ministry invites you to join their next book club, by Jose Antonio Vargas. This is his own personal story of his immigration here from the Philippines when he was 12 years old, and his life as an undocumented citizen. We will discuss the book on March 26, refreshments will be served so please RSVP here.

ISC Silent Retreats for Women

MARCH 19–22 & APRIL 28–30, CHRIST THE KING RETREAT CENTER

Ignatian Women’s Silent Retreats are offered in the spring and fall at Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, Minnesota. The two retreats offered this spring are:

• Weekend retreat, March 19–22, led by Fr. Michael Graham, SJ, the former president of Xavier University. Register for the weekend retreat here.
