Daily Reflection:

Issam Lagrichi is a personal friend of mine…he is a fellow Board Member of the San Diego Regional Interfaith Collaborative (SDRIC)… (I am on the Board as a Representative of our Diocese)…Issam is very involved in many Interfaith activities throughout San Diego County…he is a friend of our Parish and has been a part of all our Interfaith activities over the years…he is a Muslim man…
He sent me an email which I will share with you. It contains a powerful message which helps us look at these difficult days and to see the good that can come out of this if we look with the eyes of faith…whether those eyes are Jewish, Christian, or Muslim…
Brother Michael,
To my Christian, Catholic, and Jewish sisters and brothers…Happy Easter and Happy Passover…
Sadly these days have deprived us of our visits to our worship spaces this year.
On April 23, we Muslims start fasting, and it is so strange to not be able to go to the Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
But guess what? God has a better plan… God is turning every home into a sanctuary!
May we all be blessed and our families!
I pray that we are all turning our homes into sanctuaries…we will see God present in our homes and in our families more deeply than ever before!
We keep putting one foot in front of the other…we walk with faith and trust…we may not know where we are going, but it is okay, because wherever we are going, God is already there…
