My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I was talking with a friend the other day, and we began a discussion about how easy it is to judge or condemn others.
We do so, I believe, in order to take the focus off of ourselves.
My friend shared this quote with me:
There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to find fault with the rest of us.
--James Truslow Adams
Jesus said it this way, over 2,000 years ago:
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.
--Luke 6:37
In the course of this day, think about a person/s you have judged or have condemned.
Instead of a judgment or condemnation today, say a prayer for that person/s!
Hang tough…this too shall pass!
