Let us pray for Those in the Path of Fire;

that our God, who is our strength and our refuge, will be with those who are besieged by fire, guide those who evacuate so that they may find care and comfort in a safe place, protect their homes and their pets, their neighbors, and their friends.

Let us pray for all First Responders and Emergency Personnel;

that our sustaining God, whose love encircles us, will strengthen those who respond when wildfires roar and keep them safe from harm, return home to their families, and keep the lives all they protect safe from harm.

For Those Who Have Lost Their Homes to Fire;

that our Loving God, our rock in times of despair, will be with all those who have lost their homes to wildfire, comfort them in their distress, strengthen them for the journey ahead, and sustain them with his loving embrace, that they may find a sense of home once again.

We lift our hearts in prayer together as one family, through Christ, our Lord.

Congratulations to Cardinal McElroy on his appointment as Archbishop of the Diocese of Washington!

The St. Thomas More Community appreciates his decade of ministry to us and all in the Diocese of San Diego, and we will cherish being the site of the first Mass he presided at as Cardinal-elect. Though we will miss him, wish him well in his new position. With prayers for him and the faith communities of the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of San Diego.
