World Mission Sunday 2025
Exclusive Message from Pope Leo XIV
We celebrate World Mission Sunday 2025 on October 18-19, a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. It is a day when Catholics around the world unite in prayer and solidarity to support the missionary work of the Church.

The central message for World Mission Sunday in this Jubilee Year 2025 is hope with the motto; “Missionaries of Hope Among all Peoples”. It reminds individual Christians and the entire Church, of our fundamental vocation to be in the footsteps of Christ, messengers and builders of hope. It reflects both the heart of our faith and the vision of our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.
The Church is constantly impelled by the love of Christ to persevere, in union with him, on her missionary journey and to hear the plea of suffering humanity. Our contributions for World Mission Sunday will greatly assist in spreading God's message of love, hope, and peace to all God's children – especially the less fortunate, those suffering persecution for their faith, and those who are yet to experience the redeeming power of the Gospel. It directly supports seminaries, future religious sisters, catechists, Catholic schools that provide essential education, and basic medical care, embodying the love of Christ over 1,124 mission territories across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Pacific Islands, and the Middle East.
Each time we support the missions, we affirm that we are one Church, one family in Christ, united in bringing hope and love to all people. I encourage you to respond with a generous heart, knowing that your support makes a real difference in the lives of those who might otherwise never hear the Gospel.
Let us unite in prayer for the success of the Church’s missionary activities and for the missionaries who dedicate their lives to spreading the Gospel often endangering their lives.
