Happy Friday, friends!

I hope that all is well and that you all have had a really beautiful and amazing Summer so far! I also hope that you are continuing to adjust to all of these changes, staying as healthy and as safe as possible! We look forward to not only how the Holy Spirit moves in your life, as well as our community, but also in the beginnings of the transition into our more regular routines.

God is doing amazing things through you and with you, and it is wonderful to be able to welcome you into our STOCYM family. 2020 has been a tad tumultuous, but there is still some great things ahead and we cannot wait to get into them with all of y'all! Please know how thankful I am for every single one of you and how incredibly loved you all are.

One of those great things coming up this year is your student continuing their spiritual journey with us as they start their Confirmation journey. We are so stoked to walk with them as they prepare to receive this final Sacrament of Initiation, and welcome them fully into the Catholic Church.

We will get our classes started in the middle/end of September, but it is time to get your teen registered. Please see below for all the information you will need to get all signed up.

Our STOCYM Confirmation program is an awesome, two year program that will walk with students as they come together in large and small group community to learn more about our Catholic faith, how the Holy Spirit is moving through them, and give them the tools they will need to continue to grow in faith for the rest of their lives.

I want to make sure that we are all on the same page, and clarify some changes we are making to the program this year, so that your student can have the best experience possible. In the past, students entering the ninth grade at a Catholic school were eligible to opt out of the first year of our preparation program.

However, last year we are changed our program and are asking all ninth graders (Catholic and Public school) to enroll in the first year of the program, participating fully in the two years of the program.

The diocese really wants all parishes to have the same standards when it comes to Confirmation, and we are doing our best to align ourselves with those standards in order to best serve the future of our faith. Not only this, but we believe that this change will enhance and make the community the kids experience in our preparation that much stronger.

I know that this is a pretty big change, but I can guarantee that your students will not only receive incredible supplemental knowledge about the faith that will help them in their school work, as well as essential catechesis not offered in those school classes, but they will also have a wonderful experience and chance to meet and grow within our larger community in an engaging and fun way.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at any of the channels below.
