HELLO, STOCYM FRIENDS & FAMILIES!
I hope that you are all doing well as we approach the end of a spectacular Summer and the beginning of another exciting Academic year.

I have decided, with a mixture of great joy and sadness, that I am ready to move into the next chapter of my life and 'retire' from ministry, stepping away from my role as Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries at St. Thérèse of Carmel Catholic Church.

This has been one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make. One that has come with its fair share of tears, heartache, doubt, and fear. But, one that has emerged from thorough medical advice, prayer, spiritual direction, reflection, and discernment.

I have given so much of myself to this vocation and am ready to get back to interests I’ve set aside and areas of my life that I need to nurture (including my hopefully soon-to-be-fiancé. -- told y'all she was real).

I plan to continue to have as much fun and facilitate as much joy as I possibly can, bringing enthusiasm and using my "outside" voice to share the 'Good News' to the world. I will continue coaching athletics, and begin to dive back into the Academic and Legal world (my dad always wanted me to be a lawyer) but overall look to regain my sense of self and identity in this new season.
St. Thérèse of Carmel has become my home, you all - truly - my friends, mentors, and spiritual companions.

I want to personally thank every single one of you, from the deepest part of my heart, for all of it. No amount of words could ever express my immense gratitude and love for this place, for you all, and all that makes it so wonderful.

You have been nothing but supportive, generous, and loving to me these past seven years.

I arrived at your doorstep as a young, short boy who talked a little too loud and wanted to build something great, and I stand before you now as an older, still short man who speaks to those who need to hear and has been lucky enough to be a part of something bigger than he ever could've imagined. Thank you for your patience, your support, and your joy.

This parish and community will forever hold a special place in my heart.

It has shaped the man I write to you as today and the one I hope to continue to become. The memories I have made are irreplaceable. While it saddens me to close this chapter of my life, I look forward to all the Lord has in store for this Carmel Valley Catholic community.

My last official day of work will be on Wednesday, August 23rd. However, I will continue to work with Fr. Chris and the entire Parish Staff to help find the next servant leader that our ministry and community needs.
I want to remind you that you are all so wonderfully and incredibly loved. I also want to remind you, as always, how grateful I am to have gotten to live this life and to grow in faith with all of you. You are all in my prayers! Always.

As you all continue into this Fall and beyond - I hope that our Parish community and ministry can continue to grow in Faith, Fellowship, and Love with all of you, having a ton of fun as you go.

There are some BIG things coming up, so get excited. God is doing amazing things through and with all of you, and it is wonderful to be have been able to call myself a part of this STOCYM family.

It has been such an honor and a privilege to serve and accompany our young Church with you. Thank you for giving me the chance to live out my dream, and for allowing me to be a part of the ‘Culture of Worship.’

God is so good, and so are all of you. I love you all OH so very much!

Hopefully I'll see you all at EXALT! on Friday, August 25th so we can all worship and celebrate all that has been and all that will be together, one last time!

Thanks and God Bless,
