Greetings Adventure Racers,
I hope everyone is having a great long weekend and you're all gearing up for an epic day of racing next weekend at the 24th edition of the Storm Adventure Race!
Volunteers! We're still in need of volunteers on both days. If you have friends, or family attending, please ask if they'd be willing to sign-up as a volunteer. We could use help with the following roles:
Saturday
Transition Volunteer - 10:00am-3:00pm
Sunday
Kit Pick-Up - 7:15am-9:00am
Transition Volunteer - 7:30am-12:00pm
Transition Volunteer - 9:30am-3:00pm
New volunteers can email info@stormrace.ca
Racer Info Packages. If you haven't done so already, be sure to preview the Racer Information Packages posted on the website with all the race weekend details for the 3 courses being planned. These are a must-read for all planning to attend. Click one of the links below to view your Racer Information Package:

Waivers & Medical Forms. We moved to online waivers and medical forms. There won't be paper copies available at kit-pickup on the day of the event, so be sure everyone on your team has filled these out prior to arriving at the host site. Each person will receive an email confirmation they've filled out the waiver along with a pdf copy. We'll need you to show this waiver email and confirmation to event staff at kit pick-up. Here are the links:

Race Kit Pickup. We won't have a gear check at kit pickup, so no need to bring mandatory gear with you. However, we will have gear checks on the course so be sure you're carrying the proper gear or you could face a time penalty or disqualification depending on what gear is missing. i.e. not having certain safety items like bike helmets, or life jackets would result in disqualification. We also don't require all members of the team to come to kit pick-up, however, any missing members must have completed their waiver and medical form and should forward that confirmation email to whomever on the team is attending kit pickup. Teams should know their team name and what category they're in (see team listings below) prior to attending Kit Pickup.
Team Listings. Team lists with Bib Numbers assigned can be found at the links below for each course. Feel free to label gear such as; life jackets, personal paddles, bike helmets etc. with your team number and/or name. Some teams who signed up in the "Masters" division may notice they've been moved to the open category, as not enough Masters teams had signed up. However, enough Family Teams of 2 and Family Teams of 4 signed up that we've made categories for Female, Male and Coed in those divisions!

Teammate Changes and Canoe Rentals. The registration list at this link is the most up to date listing we have. Any teammate changes going forward can be made at Race Kit Pick-Up on Saturday morning. Changing categories within the same race distance would also be possible, however changing to a shorter, or longer race distance may only be possible if extra race kits are available. Also on this list, please verify if you have a canoe rental booked from us, or if you're bringing your own canoes.
Arriving at Albion Hills Conservation Park & Spectators. When you arrive at the park be sure to tell the gate staff you're with the Storm Adventure Race and they'll let you in as your park fee is covered in the event entry fee. However, if you have non-racing friends or family accompanying you they'll need to purchase a park pass. These can be pre-purchased to avoid delays at the gate. Follow this link to pre-purchase park passes for spectators. Please be sure to park in the lots designated for our event (Cedar Grove 1 & 2, Trailview and the small lot near the Chalet) as detailed in the Race Info Packages.
Results and Pictures. We're aiming to have results posted on the results page in the early evening after the races. Pictures will be available on a platform called Geosnapshot at this link. The images should be searchable by bib number and by uploading a selfie search.
That's all for now. If there are any questions, or concerns feel free to email anytime.
Wishing everyone agreat long weekend!
Sincerely,
Bob Miller
