If your schedule permits during the annual meeting, you can go through  Level 1 and 2 coach certification, Level 3 coach certification, or ALTS instructor certification.

USAS Convention 2018
Details below to plan your trip to this year's meeting
USAS Convention
The United States Aquatic Sports Convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in Jacksonville, Fla., in September. Registration forms and travel, shuttle, and tourist information are available on the USAS website .
USMS meetings are Wednesday, Sept. 26, through Sunday, Sept. 30. The annual meeting page  at usms.org contains the schedule and other information.
Delegate Registration
All persons attending or presenting at any meeting at the annual meeting MUST be registered for the convention. Online registration is now available.
$180: Early-bird online or postmarked BY Sept. 4
$210: Regular registration online or postmarked AFTER Sept. 4
$75: One-day registration
$140: Two-day registration

Online registration : Available for individuals who prefer to pay by credit card, and you can register as many attendees as you like during the session.

Group registration form: LMSCs with five or more delegates can fill out the group registration form and pay with one check.

Paper registration form: These are for individuals paying with a check.
Hotel Reservations
Hotel information can be found on the USAS website . You are responsible for making your hotel reservations. The convention room rate is $139/night plus tax. You can also make reservations by calling 402-592-6464. The room block closes after Aug. 21 or when it fills, whichever happens first.
Air Transportation
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) (15 miles)
Land Transportation
SuperShuttle: It's offering discounted shuttle transportation for the convention ($2 off a one-way trip and $5 off a roundtrip). They also offer a discount if you use their ExecuCar transportation option. When you  make your reservation, enter the discount code  TF2HB. If you require special assistance, please call 1-800 BLUE VAN (800-258-3826). 

East Coast Transportation: Their drivers meet you inside the airport and can take you to the Hyatt. To make a reservation with East Coast Transportation, click on  reservations

Rental Cars: Hertz is offering a discount on car rentals for the convention. Go to the  USAS-HERTZ website to make your reservation--the discount code is auto-populated. If you go to Hertz through another means, the discount code is  CV02RH0014.
Driving Directions
Driving directions can be obtained by typing the following address into MapQuest or Google : 225 E Coastline Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
Self-park is $8/day, valet parking is $15/day for delegates and volunteers.
Internet in Sleeping Rooms
Complimentary internet is included in guest rooms ($4.95 per day for upgraded bandwidth).
Certification Table
The certification table will be open on Wednesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (vendor area), Thursday 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. (vendor area), and Thursday 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (House of Delegates Room). If you're unable to make those times, please find Mary Hull from Thursday afternoon through Saturday.

Important Delegate List Reminder
We need to know who will be attending!
LMSC Chairs: Please submit the names and contact information for your delegates ASAP to Jessica Porter, if you haven't done so already. These were due July 15.
Chairs of Finance, Legislation, Long Distance, and Rules Committees: Please contact your committee members and report to Jessica Porter if any members from your committee will not be attending the annual meeting.
Working Calendar
Don't miss these important deadlines!
Below are important deadlines from the working calendar.

Aug. 1 : All proposed rule or code changes from Rules, Long Distance, and Legislation Committees are due to Jessica Porter from respective committee chairs for inclusion in the annual meeting packet.

Aug. 11 : Vice presidents send their committees' annual reports and agendas to Jessica Porter Members of the Executive Committee also submit their annual reports and the reports from the liaisons and special appointments they oversee.

Aug. 15: All proposed rule or code changes are posted on the annual meeting page.

Late August: Annual meeting packet posted on the USMS website and link emailed to all delegates.
Pre-Annual Meeting Packet

Please note that USMS is continuing its efforts in going green. Therefore, we are requesting that you either download the pre-annual meeting files to your laptop or tablet (that you'll be bringing with you), print the documents yourself and bring them, or have them printed at a local copy shop.
The sections of the pre-annual meeting packet will be posted on the annual meeting page as they are received with the full packet going up in mid-to-late August. This packet includes reports from the Executive Committee, National Office, and liaisons and special appointments, in addition to committee reports and meeting agendas. It also includes election information, rules, long distance rules, and legislation proposed amendments, as well as other important documents and announcements.

We need this information to be sure the right individuals are receiving information in a timely manner during their tenure. LMSC Development: Aug. 14 - 8:30 p.m. Eastern / 5:30 p.m. Pacific
Teleconferences take approximately one hour each. Email invitations are sent to those in each role in advance with dial-in information. Contact the LMSC Development Committee for more information.
The goal of these facilitated calls is to provide an opportunity for you to converse with your peers, pose questions, get answers, discuss challenges, and share successes related to your LMSC volunteer role. In turn, the LMSC Development Committee can use the information shared to help build a repository of best practices for each of our volunteer positions.
