On October 1, 2020, the U.S.Department of Homeland Security will officially begin enforcing the REAL ID Act of 2005 at airports. This will require all Americans to present REAL ID-compliant identification to go through security. NPS Commerates 400+ Years of African American Experience
Congress established the 400 Years of African American History Commission (National Commission) in 2018. This National Commission was charged with developing and facilitating activities throughout the United States to commemorate the 400 th anniversary of the first known/documented arrival of enslaved Africans in the English-occupied Colonies at Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619; and recognizing and highlighting the resilience and contributions of the first enslaved Africans from that seminal moment forward, while simultaneously acknowledging the painful impacts of slavery, racial discrimination and racism on our Nation. Now in its 10th year, the Destinations International Foundation’s 30 Under 30 program is supported by founding program partner SearchWide Global and sponsored by MMGY Global and Northstar Meetings Group. The 30 individuals, 30 years of age and under, will first convene at Destinations International’s 2020 Annual Convention July 13-15, 2020 in Chicago, IL and will have the opportunity to engage in professional development and networking opportunities throughout 2020 and beyond.
