It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we announce the full implementation of the STVM House System for the 2020-2021 school year. The administration has listened to the many requests of the students and faculty to reverse the decision made this spring to delay the roll out.  The excitement for the implementation of the House System is palpable now that the student leadership is in place. By going forward with the roll out, all of the planning of the past two years will come to fruition. Now more than ever, our students need and deserve something tangible to look forward to and anticipate.
Students will be sorted into their respective houses by the core adult leadership team. The big reveal of Houses and Mentor Groups will occur during the first week of school. More details will be forthcoming regarding alumni houses and other special events. By moving forward with the House System we will be able to organize House events following current social distancing guidelines. Each house will consist of approximately 160 students.  House gatherings will be permitted to occur in the LeBron James Arena, the Cosgrove Building, and/or the stadium.

In the event that Governor DeWine orders a shut down of schools, at any time this year, the House System will naturally provide each student with an extra point of contact - their mentor group teachers. Each mentor group will have two mentor group teachers to facilitate activities and discussions and mentor groups will meet daily.

It’s certainly an exciting time to be Irish!
