Letter from the Principal

Dear SUA Families,

Don't miss tonight's SUA's Mini-Class and Merici Social! We will gather in the Field House at 5:30 p.m., begin rotations of your daughter's Term 1 classes at 6:00 p.m., followed by The Merici Society Social at 7:00 p.m. (Sixth grade parents will attend a Sixth Grade Camp parent meeting in The Learning Commons (TLC) from 7:15-7:45 p.m.)

Prior to arriving, you may access your daughter's schedule on PowerSchool. You will also be able to check your daughter's schedule with the counselors in the Welcome Lobby.

The Merici Society has planned a scavenger hunt to help you connect with other parents throughout the evening. Please pick up a paper at the entrance to join in the fun and a chance to win a prize. Prizes, root beer floats, and camaraderie will be provided by The Merici Society at the Parent Social which begins at 7:00 p.m. in the North Dining Commons.

We look forward to seeing you tonight!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Elizabeth Huebner

Interim Principal

Arrow Card Drive

We kicked off our annual Arrow Card Drive this week! As our only student fundraiser, the Arrow Card Drive plays a vital role in supporting scholarships that directly benefit our

students. This year, the fundraiser will run through Monday, September 23.

The Arrow Card, available for $10, offers discounts at designated vendors throughout the

2024-2025 school year, including many popular locations.

Our school goal is $70,000. If we reach the goal, all students will have a day off on Friday, February 14, 2025. If the goal isn’t met, only those students who sold 10 cards will have the day off.

We’ve also set a Super Goal of $80,000. If we reach the Super Goal, all students will have an additional day off school on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. (The super goal is an all-school goal, so if we fall short, no one will have February 18 off.) In addition, if we meet the Super Goal by September 18, the entire school will have a 2:30 p.m. dismissal and dress-down day on Thursday, September 19.

Finally, our Mega Goal is $90,000. Reaching this milestone will reward the entire school

with an additional day off on Friday, September 27.

Our goal is for each student to sell 10 cards. For families with more than one

daughter at SUA, the goal is 10 cards for the first daughter and five cards for each

additional daughter. The individual incentives are as follows:

  • Sell 10 Cards: Students may wear any footwear from the day they turn in their money through the end of the drive (Monday, September 23).
  • Sell 15 Cards: Students may dress down (including leggings) from the day they turn in their money through the end of the drive. Their names will be entered into a drawing for various raffle prizes. Each additional card sold beyond 15 earns another raffle entry.

Note: For families with multiple SUA students, each student must sell 15 cards to

qualify for the 15-card raffle entry and dress-down days.

Arrow Card money will be collected before school each day of the drive beginning on Tuesday, August 27. Additionally, we will collect money during lunch and seminar from August 27-30.

Each student is responsible for either turning in her money or unsold cards by

Monday, September 23. Any unreturned cards will be added to your daughter’s

tuition statement. If you have questions, please reach out to Lindsay Jordan at

ljordan@toledosua.org.

All proceeds will be used for financial aid, so your support is truly appreciated!

SUA Student Council Spirit Shirt Pack

The St. Ursula Academy Student Council is selling a Spirit Shirt Pack as a fundraiser!

SUA is giving Spirit Week and Spirit Days a glow-up to help students decide what to wear on Spirit Days and improve school spirit within the student body. Students can wear any gold, blue, or white SUA shirt, uniform skirts, and tennis shoes on designated spirit days and weeks. For example, on a Blue Spirit Day, students can wear any blue SUA shirt with their uniform skirt and tennis shoes. To make this easier, SUA Student Council is selling a pack of three shirts, a blue shirt, a yellow shirt, and a white shirt, designed by the students.

This Spirit Shirt Pack costs $30, and the last day to purchase it is today, Wednesday, August 28!

SUA remains appreciative of all families who shop at Kroger and designate our school as the recipient of their Community Rewards funds. July 31 was the end of a Kroger quarter, so it is now time for Community Rewards participants to view their contribution balance.

If you wish to receive tuition credit, please click here for instructions.

Label Items for Easy Return

Please label your daughter's water bottle, lunchbox, school supplies, and all uniform pieces. If items are lost, this label will allow us to ensure they are returned to the correct student.
