Letter from the Principal

Dear Families,

It has been a wonderful start to Intramural Week! The energy, creativity, and school spirit throughout our halls have been incredible to see, and we are looking forward to the fun continuing through the rest of the week.

As we prepare for Friday’s festivities, this is a friendly reminder that all donations for the picnic should be brought in by tomorrow, March 26. Thank you for your support in making this special tradition such a meaningful experience for our students.

News from National Honor Society

NHS Membership

Notifications of qualification for membership into the National Honor Society were placed on lockers on Monday, March 23. The completed requisite forms must be returned to the Main Office by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2 (no exceptions granted). Notification of qualification does not constitute acceptance - that status is determined by a five-member NHS Faculty Council within three weeks. Acceptance letters will be mailed to home addresses. If you have questions about the National Honor Society, please email Chapter Advisor Mr. Dennis Maas at dmaas@toledosua.org

Easter Basket Raffle

The National Honor Society is sponsoring its annual Easter Basket Raffle from March 30 through April 2. Proceeds go toward its final two service projects: Global Service Need and AP Exam Subsidies for those taking three or more exams. Tickets will be sold before school, during lunches, and during seminars outside The Quiver doors, with the winners announced during Block 5 on April 2.

Through the generosity of students and sports fans, the NHS has distributed almost $3,500 to its other three completed service projects – Local Community (Bethany House), School (new flags), and Greater Community (coffee for the VA Hospital).

Lenten Prayer Opportunity

Students are invited to join in a time of prayer and reflection during the Lenten season. We will gather in the Chapel at 7:45 a.m. every morning throughout Lent to pause, pray and reflect before starting the day. All are welcome!

Upcoming Service Opportunities

Every two weeks, students receive an Upcoming Service Opportunities flyer with places students can volunteer within the next month. Click here to view the flyer.

If you have any questions about Christian Service, please email Samantha Meklus at smeklus@toledosua.org.

Adoration

Every Wednesday at 7:00 a.m., we will be having Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel open to all students! We will conclude with a morning prayer at 7:45 a.m.

Toledo Labre Program

Students are invited to prepare and serve food to individuals on the South and East side of Toledo every Monday night from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. This opportunity is a unique, student-led effort that provides students with a hands-on, direct service experience.
