Letter from the Principal

Dear Families,

This week marks one of the most meaningful traditions of the school year - Senior Week. Our seniors will celebrate the culmination of their time at St. Ursula Academy through cherished events, including Baccalaureate, the Mother-Daughter Luncheon, and Graduation. Each moment offers an opportunity to reflect, give thanks, and honor the journey of the Class of 2026.

We are especially proud to recognize our Summa Cum Laude students, who have achieved a remarkable grade point average of 4.350 or higher. This year’s honorees are: Ani Boman, Oluwasola Fadahunsi, Killeen French-Hill, Eliza Hebeka, Sara Ostrosky, Lia Pappas, Cora Pearson, Bella Smith, Mackenzie Williams, Riley Wojciechowski, and Hollyann Zitkovic. Their dedication to academic excellence is truly commendable, and we celebrate this outstanding achievement.

As a class, our seniors have left a lasting impact on our community through their leadership, faith, scholarship, and sisterhood. We congratulate each member of the Class of 2026 on her many accomplishments, both inside and outside the classroom. 

Please keep our seniors in your prayers as they prepare to say their final goodbyes as students and take their next steps forward. We are proud to welcome them into our alumnae community, knowing they will continue to make a difference in the world.

Student Work Program 2026-2027

St. Ursula Academy is excited to announce we will be launching a Student Work Program for the 2026-2027 school year. The Student Work Program has been extremely successful in the past in helping keep our campus clean. Duties for the Student Work Program include wiping down desks, sweeping classroom floors, emptying garbage and recycle bins, and cleaning classroom boards. Space is limited and students will be accepted based on a first come, first serve basis. All details regarding the program are in the attached application. Applications are due by July 30, 2026. 

Please read the form in its entirety before submitting your application. Submitting an application and retracting your position once awarded could remove you from future participation in the program.

SUA Uniform Donations

We are happy to accept any SUA uniform items that are in good shape if your daughter no longer needs them. Please bring washed items to the Main Office—we can always find students who could use them!

Vaccination Reminders

Please plan accordingly for the 2026-2027 school year. The State of Ohio requires the following vaccinations:

Parents of current 6th graders—Two shots are required by the State of Ohio for admittance into 7th grade; a Tdap booster (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) and the meningitis vaccine (MCV4).

Parents of current 11th graders—The meningitis vaccine (MCV4) is required by the State of Ohio for admittance into 12th grade.

Once completed, please turn in a copy of the updated vaccine record to the Main Office or email a copy to Nurse Lauran Graves at lgraves@toledosua.org.

Support SUA Arts and Athletics! Join us on Monday, June 29, for the sixth annual SUA Booster Club Arrow Open golf outing at Sylvania Country Club. Every swing supports both our student-athletes and student-performers.

Adoration

Every Wednesday at 7:00 a.m., we will be having Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel open to all students! We will conclude with a morning prayer at 7:45 a.m.

Toledo Labre Program

Students are invited to prepare and serve food to individuals on the South and East side of Toledo every Monday night from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Students and parents can also donate casseroles to be served each night. The Labre Program kindly requests more casserole donations for the summer time.

Spring Athletics Update

The Track team captured their third straight CHSL Championship! Placing in the top three for the Arrows were Emerie Schmidlin, Kennedy Donnelly, Shanice Achaleke, Claire Harrison, Aubrey Massey, Audrey Geletka, Sophia Pennywitt, Treasure Grant, Ani Boman, Brianna Mikesell, Kennedy Boze, Niamh Lalor, Sujourney La Voy, Aubrey Hayes, and Sloane Fielding.

The Lacrosse team lost in the CHSL Championship game to Marian, 14-8, earning a runner-up finish in the league. Monday, the Arrows defeated Central Catholic on Senior Day! Next week begins the OHSAA tournament as the team will host Ottawa Hills.

Softball split a double header with Lutheran North, winning game one, 5-0, before dropping game two, 6-4. Yesterday, the Arrows defeated Lutheran North in the CHSL semi-final, 1-0, to earn a trip to the CHSL Championship game on Saturday!

Crew competed in the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association Championship at Kensington Metropark in Michigan. The Doubles team of Ellie Webb and Brylee Walsh claimed first place and earned a spot in the National Championship! The Varsity 4 boat won the B-final to place ninth overall.

SFS Cheer Tryouts

St. Francis de Sales Cheerleading Tryouts are approaching quickly. All information is in the attached documents for grades 9-12 for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
