Dear families,
It has been a fun start to Spirit Week at SUA! The students have brought plenty of creativity, energy, and Arrow spirit to campus over the past few days, and we still have more to look forward to. We will wrap up the week on Friday with our Spirit Week Picnic. A quick reminder that all picnic food items are due tomorrow morning. Thank you for helping make this tradition such a success each year!
As we enjoy the excitement of Spirit Week, our students are also preparing to finish Term 1 strong. Term 1 exams will take place next week on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Teachers are available to help during Seminar, and additional support is available in The Learning Commons (TLC) before school, after school, and during Seminar. Please encourage your daughter to take advantage of these resources, ask questions, and use these final days to prepare.
We are proud of all that our students have accomplished so far and look forward to celebrating together on Friday before heading into exams next week.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership!

Helpful Exam Reminders
With exams coming up next week, we encourage you to support your daughter by helping them stay organized, focused, and well-rested.
A few helpful reminders:
-
Time management: Encourage a simple study schedule with manageable goals and regular breaks.
-
Study strategies: Encourage practice questions, flashcards, reviewing key concepts, and asking teachers for help when needed. Utilize the TLC before and after school and during your seminar for additional help.
-
Self-care: Prioritize good sleep, healthy meals, exercise, and time to relax.
-
Encouragement: Remind your daughter to focus on doing their best rather than being perfect. A calm and supportive home environment can make a big difference.
Thank you for partnering with us to support our students. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding this topic, please reach out to your daughter’s school counselor.

The St. Ursula Academy National Honor Society received national recognition again this year for its excellence in service to others. To continue this, our NHS Greater Community Service Project will focus on helping veterans at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital. This is the 12th consecutive year SUA will be providing a month's supply of coffee for patients and staff.
To raise money for this project, the NHS is holding a Fall Basket Raffle October 20–24. The raffle will include three baskets, small: $1 per ticket, medium: $2 per ticket, and large: $3 per ticket, with prizes donated by our members.
Direct cash/checks donations for the veterans are always appreciated and can be turned into the main office (checks made out to SUA with NHS on memo line) or have your daughter bring them to the raffle-sale table. Thank you for helping the National Honor Society support our veterans in need!

Lost & Found
Lost & Found items are displayed outside of the school cafeteria the week prior to exams every semester. All of these lost items were found around school and turned into the Main Office. They do not have a name on them so we don't know who they belong to. Please be sure to label all your daughter's belongings, especially her water bottle, lunch box, and uniform pieces. If your daughter is missing something, please encourage her to stop by the office or table to see if her item is there. All items will be donated it not claimed.

Appointments
For early dismissals because of appointments, etc., please send a note with your daughter before school starts so that her dismissal can be recorded in PowerSchool well before the appointment time. Runners are not available to retrieve students from classes for last-minute dismissals. Students will exit the building at the Main door after signing out in the attendance office. Please wait in your car at that door to pick her up. Doctor, dental, etc. notes are required following all appointments.
