Letter from the Principal |
Dear SUA Families,
We're excited to announce that we've met our Mega Goal for the Arrow Card Drive! Over $90,000 was raised which will go towards scholarships for our SUA students; more than 70 percent of our students receive scholarship dollars. Meeting the Mega Goal means there will be no school on Friday, September 27.
We announced the good news to our students on Monday at our Fall Sports Pep Rally. The girls know that we also ask for their positive energy and participation in our Visitation Days today and tomorrow. I have no doubt that they will show their Arrow Pride and good spirit! The Arrow Card participation drawing of cash and prizes will take place at the end of the day tomorrow.
Thank you for your support of the Arrow Card Drive!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Parking Lot
Thank you for your support in following the directions of our parking lot moderators. Below are some reminders to help traffic flow smoothly:
• Please pull all the way forward for drop-off and pick-up; students should not exit the car until you have pulled all the way forward.
• Please use your turn signal at all times when turning into the SUA parking lot, whether east-bound or west-bound.
• If you are west-bound, please do not block east-bound traffic flow by turning into the parking lot if there is not enough space for your car to fully enter the SUA driveway.
• If you are east-bound and turning into the SUA driveway, hug the bike lane as closely as possible to allow east-bound traffic (not entering the SUA parking lot) to continue driving east on Indian.
• SUA parking lot moderators cannot stop traffic on Indian Road. They can only stop traffic in the SUA parking lot. If you are attempting to enter the SUA parking lot traveling west, you will need to wait for east-bound traffic to clear before being able to pull into the SUA parking lot.
• If possible, arrive before 7:30 a.m. and after 3:15 p.m. to avoid the majority of the traffic congestion.
• Please be patient. We are keeping eyes out for walkers, runners, bicyclists, buses, and over 600 students. Safety is our number one concern for all our students, young drivers, parent drivers, and neighborhood families.

High School Counselor Support Groups
The High School Counselors administered a needs assessment survey to grades 9-12 earlier this month. In reviewing the results of those who responded, students requested support in the areas of Academic Support, Stress and Anxiety, and Navigating Families. As a result of the feedback, the High School Counseling Department will be offering small group sessions this semester in these areas. We will also continue to offer the Open Heart, Open Mind LGBTQ support group, consistent with last year.
Your daughter will be receiving an email with more information and the link to sign up for any of these small group sessions. If you have any questions, please contact one of the counselors.
