Confirmation Sunday
If your student is in eighth grade and has been attending confirmation class this year, they will be confirmed and baptized (if they have not previously been baptized) on Sunday, April 28, during the 11:00 a.m. service. Please email Jayne Markin, if your eighth grade confirmation student would like to be confirmed with the following information:
  1. Does your 8th student want to be confirmed?
  2. Do they need to be baptized?  If yes, sprinkled or immersion?
  3. How do you want your student's name printed on their certificate and in the bulletin?

High School Retreat
Our High School students went on a retreat this past weekend to Eminence, MO to get away from everyday life and hang out with Schweitzer leaders and Discovery Ministries staff. They grew closer as a group and closer to Christ through orienteering.

To see the fun everyone had, checkout the pictures from the high school retreat by visiting our  High School Retreat Album on Facebook.

Wednesday Night Worship

During this three week series on the book of Haggai, we will look at how God used the prophet, Haggai, to lead Israel to rebuild God's temple.  This series will inspire our students to act on what God is calling them to do.
The message this week will help students understand  that we need to push through challenging seasons of our lives in order to continue serving God. We need to stand firm in our faith through discouragement we may face.

Next Steps . . .
As you go through this week with your student(s), look for instances to create some dialogue based on the theme of this lesson. Consider discussing the following questions or concepts:

Read Haggai 1:13-14, Haggai 2:3-4, 6-9, Galatians 6:9
Ask:  Why do you think God starts by telling His people that He's with them?
Ask:  Are you better at identifying the changes you need to make or actually doing the work to make changes? Why do you think you're this way?
Ask: What do you feel keeps you from being strong and doing the work you need to do to get past some of the discouragement in your life?
Ask:  What have you started and maybe stopped or paused? How will you press on with God to be strong and do the work?
