This week's activities:
What to expect this weekend (1/12-1/13)
Hours of Construction Activity: 5 am - 10 pm
On Saturday, 1/12, an Emergency Department detour will be in effect from 6 am-10 pm in order to accommodate the placement of a transformer on Quarry Extension as part of the Packard Expansion project. Signage and flagmen will be on site. Employees and physicians with access to the J lot across from the ED should follow the ED detour to access the lot during this time.
Excavation on-site and dirt off-haul will occur (pending weather and soils condition) over the weekend. Tie back work may also occur on the expansion site.
Weekday work (1/14-1/18)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 3:30 pm
Trenching will begin next week on the expansion site as part of the oxygen line installation. Trenching will occur in three phases in order to minimize impacts to the loading dock operations.
Work to core for hot water and fire alarm conduit will continue inside of the hospital in the ceiling of the ground floor stairwells next week.
Utility work will continue near the Stanford Hospital & Clinics side of the Falk Building. Access to the Falk Building will be maintained at all times via the Stanford Hospital side of the building. Pedestrian detour signage is in place.
Intermittent dirt off haul will occur from the Packard Expansion site through the end of January.
Access to the rear entrance of Packard Children's will remain open throughout construction.
What to expect next weekend (1/19-1/20)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 3:30 pm
No work is currently scheduled to occur next weekend.
