This week's activities:
What to expect this weekend (1/5-1/6)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 3:30 pm
Oxygen line work will occur in the loading dock area including saw cutting and potholing. Traffic controls will be in place and have been coordinated with the facilities.
Some rebar and concrete work will occur as well as excavation and dirt off-haul.
Weekday work (1/7-1/11)
Hours of Construction Activity: 6 am - 6 pm
Oxygen line work continues and trenching will begin. Trenching will be done in three phases and, wherever possible, work will be sequenced and performed to minimize impacts to the loading dock.
Prep work will be underway for the weekend transformer pick at Quarry Extension. Emergency backup to LPCH emergency power will be provided by temporary generator starting Thursday 1/10 until the end of the shutdown.
Work to core for hot water and fire alarm conduit will continue inside of the hospital in the ceiling of the ground floor stairwells until 1/11. Noise mitigation measures, infection control measures and physical barriers will be in place during this time to minimize impact to the hospital.
Intermittent dirt off haul will occur from the Packard Expansion site through the end of January.
Utility work will continue near the Stanford Hospital & Clinics side of the Falk Building. Access to the Falk Building will be maintained at all times via the Stanford Hospital side of the building. Pedestrian detour signage is in place.
Access to the rear entrance of Packard Children's will remain open throughout construction.
What to expect next weekend (1/12-1/13)
Hours of Construction Activity: 6 am - 10 pm
Oxygen line work continues.
On Saturday, 1/12, a transformer pick will occur at Quarry Extension requiring re-routing for the Stanford Emergency Department. Traffic control measures will be in place including signage and flaggers. Signs will start going up at around 5:00 am and the crane pick will start at 6:00 am. Work to be complete by 10:00 pm. Work has been coordinated with facilities.
