Work is under way to construct the new Stanford Hospital facility in order to accommodate advances in medical technology, increase capacity, and meet new seismic safety standards. The 824,000 square foot hospital includes 368 individual patient rooms, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment rooms, an expanded Emergency Department, new employee parking structure, five gardens, walking trails and a meditation room. The new hospital is expected to be completed in 2017 and open for patient care in early 2018.

What to expect this weekend (10/12-10/13)
Hours of Construction Activity: 9 am- 6 pm
Former Garden Entry/D Pod: Demolition of the former MRI offices and utility relocations will continue near the former Garden Entrance to Stanford Hospital & Clinics.
New Hospital and Parking Garage: Construction activity will continue for the new hospital and parking garage over the weekend.
Weekday work (10/14-10/18)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 6 pm
Former Garden Entry/D Pod: Demolition of the former MRI offices will continue; utility relocations and tie-ins will also continue. Shoring pile installation will begin next week.
New Hospital and Parking Garage: Foundation pile installation will continue for the new hospital facility; foundation work and utility installation will continue for the new parking garage.
Off Site Activities: Dirt will be off-hauled from the site on Monday, 10/14.

Hours of Construction Activity: 9 am - 6 pm
Former Garden Entry/D Pod: Demolition work and utility relocation may continue next weekend.
New Hospital and Parking Garage: Construction activity will continue on the new hospital and parking garage sites.
