The New Stanford Hospital facility site prep (known as the 'Make-Ready' site) includes surface demolition and utility work on North Pasteur Drive, and the demolition of Parking Structure 3 and 1101 Welch in order to make way for the new hospital facilities.
This week's activities:
What to expect this weekend (10/27-10/28)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 7 pm
Construction for the temporary parking lot in the CCSR area will continue on both Saturday and Sunday.
In Parking Structure 4, crews will be working Saturday at LL 3. This will not be noise or dust producing.
Weekday work (10/29-10/11/2)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 4 pm
Blake Wilbur Drive closes from Pasteur on 10/31 and opens from Welch on 11/1. Signage on Sand Hill and throughout the medical center corridor will inform new wayfinding for Blake Wilbur Drive and the new Pasteur Visitor Parking Lot located at the intersection of Welch and Pasteur Roads.
Construction for the temporary parking lot in the CCSR area will continue. Asphalt and striping are both scheduled for 10/31.
Storm and sewer trenching will continue in North Pasteur Drive near the exit to Parking Structure 3 (PS-3). Night work will continue as needed. Access will be maintained out of the garage at all times.
Promenade work continues. Pedestrian access thru the Promenade and Garden Entrance will be closed effective 11/1. Fencing will be put up that morning to close the area. Detour signage will be posted.
Bicycle cages in PS3 and bicycle lockers in the SHC garden entrance will close 10/31. All bikes must be removed from this cage and these lockers before midnight 10/30. New lockers will be located on the other side of Stanford Hospital, in front of the East Pavilion along Quarry Extension. Additional lockers will be located in the back courtyard of Packard Children's and the Cancer Center. For questions, email bike-information@stanford.edu.
