March 2012-March 2013
The New Stanford Hospital facility site prep (known as the 'Make-Ready' site) includes surface demolition and utility work on North Pasteur Drive, and the demolition of Parking Structure 3 and 1101 Welch in order to make way for the new hospital facilities.
CCSR Area Construction Update
In order to accommodate patient parking and access to Stanford Hospital & Clinics during construction, the Stanford School of Medicine has afforded SHC temporary use of the area north of the Center for Clinical Sciences Research (CCSR) for valet parking. Accommodating hospital patient parking and decanting the currently used Parking Structure 3 is critical to the success of the new Stanford Hospital construction.
Construction for this temporary parking area is launching now. Valet parking services will then be able to use the area shortly thereafter. 100+ valet cars will be accommodated on this lot.
The New Stanford Hospital project team has been working closely with the Stanford University campus architect to assure that the plans for this temporary parking area meet campus approval and map to the aesthetics of the greater campus community.
