The Packard Children's Hospital expansion, which will expand Packard's ability to care for children and expectant mothers, is under way. The new 521,000 square foot facility will add 150 patient beds, more healing spaces, and the latest medical technology. The Packard expansion is scheduled to open in 2016.

What to expect this weekend (6/29-6/30)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 7 pm
Work will continue on the Packard expansion site over the weekend to perform auger cast pile installation, shoring and excavation activities. The tower crane will continued to be installed on the site on Saturday, 6/29.
Soil will be off hauled from the site over the weekend.
Weekday work (7/1-7/5)
Hours of Construction Activity: 6 am - 7 pm
night time off haul next week 4 pm to 12 am
Excavation will occur on the site next week.
Auger cast piles will continue to be installed near Packard Children's Hospital next week. Shoring work will also continue. This drilling work is being closely coordinated with the hospital and is not anticipated to cause noise or vibration.
On Tuesday, 7/2, stockpiling will occur on the site. Soil will be off hauled from the site Tuesday-Thursday of next week (7/2-7/4).
Access to the rear entrance of Packard Children's will remain open throughout construction although some egress detours will be in place.
