Work is under way to construct the new Stanford Hospital facility in order to accommodate advances in medical technology, increase capacity, and meet new seismic safety standards. The 824,000 square foot hospital includes 368 individual patient rooms, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment rooms, an expanded Emergency Department, new employee parking structure, five gardens, walking trails and a meditation room. The new hospital is expected to be completed in 2017 and open for patient care in early 2018.

What to expect this weekend (8/17-8/18)
Hours of Construction Activity: 9 am- 6 pm
The demolition of the former Garden Entrance to Stanford Hospital & Clinics will continue. Shoring and tie back work will continue on the New Stanford Hospital construction site. Soil will be off hauled from the site on Saturday, 8/17.
Weekday work (8/19-8/23)
Hours of Construction Activity: 7 am - 6 pm;
night work from 7 pm-5 am in the former MRI space at the hospital
Shoring, excavation and tie back work will continue.
Foundation work will begin on Monday, 8/19, with test pile drilling. Foundation work will continue for 5-6 weeks.
Demolition work will continue in the former Garden Entrance of Stanford Hospital & Clinics. Night work will occur next week to continue cutting and capping utilities near the former MRI, which is scheduled to be demolished at the end of the month. The demolition will cause some noise and vibration and is being coordinated closely with the hospital.
Dirt off haul from the NSH site will continue next week. Please be cautious of trucks entering and exiting the road.

Shoring, tie back, and foundation work will continue on the site. Soil will be off hauled from the site on Saturday, 8/24.
