OMSC at Princeton Theological Seminary

Continuing the legacy, embracing the future

This is the first edition of OMSC TODAY from our new location at Princeton Theological Seminary. Carol and I arrived on campus on June 5, where we are living in a campus apartment until renovations are completed on OMSC's new headquarters and executive director's residence at 58 Mercer Street (above). In spite of the slow down due to COVID-19, great progress has been made, and we hope to move in sometime in the Fall. Even though most of our interactions have been and will continue to be virtual for some time, we wish to express our sincere thanks to the seminary administration, faculty, and staff for their warm welcome and professional support of OMSC as the newest research center at PTS.

Program Updates Related to COVID-19
Deferral of First Group of OMSC Global Partners

In hopes that COVID-19 will no longer be a threat and visa processing will be normalized, we have deferred the arrival of our first group of OMSC@PTS global partners until the 2021–2022 academic year.

Preview of OMSC's Online Study Program 2020–2021

Pushed to new platforms to prioritize health and safety and with the added value of a lighter carbon footprint, OMSC’s Online Study Program will provide greater access to quality content for an international community of local and cross-cultural church leaders, scholars, and lay people interested in the church’s participation in the mission of God. We look forward to engaging with this vibrant global community in several ways (see below).

UPDATE ON SECOND-CENTURY CAMPAIGN
Designer's Rendering of Andrew F. Walls Seminar Room

Thanks to your generosity, future generations of local and cross-cultural church leaders, scholars, and artists from every nation and Christian tradition will be able to enjoy a sustained time for study and renewal at OMSC!

As the first phase of our Second Century Campaign, we have set a goal of $200,000 as OMSC's contribution to the renovation of our new headquarters. To date, we have received a little over $110,000 in gifts and pledges toward our goal. As a sign of their own commitment, PTS has allocated $300,000 toward the renovation.

With thanks to those of you who have already given,
we will reach this goal together! No gift is too small!

With thanks and blessings,
Dr. Thomas John Hastings
OMSC Executive Director
