Thanks to our dedicated supporters, friends and neighbors, we have met our fundraising deadline and reached our goal of raising $40,000 during the first three quarters of our fiscal year!

Of the $40,000 raised, $38,000 was comprised of individual donations from the community. These funds will allow us to receive crucial upfront funding this fall so we can continue our work, supporting the small businesses of Van Ness and Forest Hills.

DC restaurateur Fred Darricarrere, owner of the new
Rosemary Bistro Cafe in Forest Hills, is excited to announce his plans to open for dinner next Wednesday, July 8th. See the menus

kid's menu with everything from pasta and chicken fingers to ice cream and chocolate mousse! You'll also find a separate menu for

REOPENING: Updates from Politics & Prose
Politics & Prose (
Connecticut Ave) will suspend all operations including web, phone orders and grab-and-go service for two days, on
July 3rd and 4th
. They'll
reopen and resume these operations on
Sunday, July 5th
and
reopen to in-store customers on Monday, July 6.
(in accordance with Phase 2 guidelines)
REOPENING: Updates from Calvert Woodley
After careful consideration,
Calvert Woodley Fine Wines and Spirits will reopen their doors to a limited capacity.
Beginning this Monday, July 6th, their hours will be 11:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 am – 5:00 pm on Sunday. They'll continue to offer curbside pickup and delivery.
Guidelines will be in place to ensure the safety of their customers and staff. No more than 15 customers in the store at once. All customers must wear a mask and maintain a safe distance. And, CW will be stepping up their sanitizing efforts.
CW asks that anyone who still has an order at the store to
please pick it up by this Saturday, July 4th to help clear space for reopening operations. (Please note: curbside pickup hours will be extended this Saturday, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.) If you can't pick it up before Saturday, they can hold your order.
