Merry Christmas SUMS families!

This special season is one of joy, wonder, and celebration, and we are grateful to share it with your children each day. Throughout December, our classrooms will be filled with stories of Jesus’ birth, festive songs, and opportunities for the children to experience the excitement of giving, sharing, and caring for one another. We will be focusing on kindness, gratitude, and the true meaning of Christmas as we prepare our hearts for this joyful time.

As we prepare for Christmas break, we pray that your homes are filled with peace, warmth, and time to rest. May you find moments to slow down, savor simple joys, and experience the wonder of the season through your child’s eyes. We hope you enjoy celebrating with loved ones and making memories that will last for years to come.

From all of us at SUMS, we wish you a joyful Christmas and a blessed start to the New Year. Thank you for being a cherished part of our school family, and may God’s love continue to shine brightly in your lives throughout this season and beyond.

With gratitude and blessings,

Lia Page, Director

If your child usually attends chapel on Monday, his/her special Christmas Chapel will be held on Friday, December 19th .

  • Please drop off your child as usual through the car loop, park, then proceed to the Sanctuary. Please sit in the pew labeled with the name of your child’s teacher. Your child will be joining you in that pew prior to the start of our Christmas Chapel.
  • Chapel will begin at 9:30. We will open with a prayer, celebrate the children’s birthdays, then our SUMS Kindergarten will perform the Nativity, followed by a sing-along with Ms. Becky.
  • After our Family Christmas Chapel, you will join your children who will be dismissed by class, in their classroom to share a Happy Birthday Jesus Celebration, followed by early dismissal.

🌟 The star on top of the Christmas tree reminds us of the special star that helped the Wise Men find Jesus.

❄️ Snowflakes are all different! No two snowflakes in the whole world look the same.

⛄ Snow is made of tiny ice crystals, and when lots of them stick together, we can make snowballs and snowmen.

🧤 Animals prepare for winter in special ways. Some hibernate, some migrate, and some grow thicker fur.

🌲 Evergreen trees stay green all year long, even in the cold winter months—that’s why they make perfect Christmas trees!
