US Air Force Thunderbirds Arrived Lastnight!

Derek Theler to Fly with the US Air Force Thunderbirds

Hollywood Actor, Derek Theler, will be flying with the USAF Thunderbirds today! He will also be at SUN ‘n FUN on Saturday so if you see him around say Hi!

Derek is best known for his role playing Danny on Baby Daddy, a Type 1 diabetic and volunteers countless hours promoting healthy lifestyles and taking care of your body. 

THE BASH TRULY WAS A PARTY WITH A PURPOSE!

Thank you to the 350+ guests who celebrated our 50th Fly-In and our year-round mission last night at the Annual Bash Fundraising Event. With your help we were able to raise over $300K to support the growth and development of the Florida Air Museum and the Ramus Skylab Innovation Center. A portion of these funds will allow us to acquire a full motion, custom wrapped, P-51 Flight Simulator from Redbird Flight Simulations for the Florida Air Museum. Our year-round guests will have the unique opportunity to fly this awesome piece of history.

Daher is ready to “make careers take off” at the SUN ’n FUN Aerospace Expo, where visitors to the Career Fair have a hands-on experience in how the company builds large aircraft sections (aerostructures) for Boeing and Gulfstream business jets at its Stuart, Florida industrial facility.

The Daher Career Fair exhibit booth provides the opportunity to rivet aluminum wings and a fuselage together to create a scale model airplane, using the same principles as the real assembly of aerostructures. To further recreate the production environment, the visiting “aircraft builders” are given gloves and safety glasses to wear – underscoring the importance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at work.

The Career Fair’s location is inside the “FUTURE ’n FLIGHT by Daher Plaza,” which the company is sponsoring as a center point of activity in motivating youth to join the aerospace sector.
