SIFTED THROUGH LOVE
1 Corinthians 13 has been called the “love” chapter. It let’s us know that without love as our motivation, everything else is worthless. Everything we do must be sifted through love if it is to remain as something worthwhile.
We might have the biggest ministry in the world, but if we do not walk in love, it is counted as nothing.
We may have all the things and the money that the world has to offer, but if we do not have love at the center of it all, it is worthless.
We may be married, but if love isn’t the glue that holds it together you can be certain that it will come apart.
1 Corinthians 13:13 reads in the Amplified Version this way: “And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [ unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the three choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.”
The only way we can have true love in our lives is if we have God in our lives and place Him at the center above everything else. The more time we spend in His presence, the more we receive His love. The more we receive His love, the more we can love others. This is the key to a life sifted through love.
Thanks for being with us today.
