CHOICES
Have you ever had a bad day? Yes, of course you have, and so have I. We have a choice when things go bad, and not the way we expect. We can choose to let go of all the hurts or hang on to them and move forward.
You might say, “You don’t know what I have been going through”. That is true, yet the truth is still the same, we have a choice when we have a bad day.
We have to choose to think on the good things of God in spite of our circumstances.
Yes, there are many things that happen to people that cause deep emotional wounds and scars, yet we don’t have to receive them into our souls. We can choose to say NO! Even if someone you care for betrays you or hurts you, don’t let those things control the rest of your life.
Forgive quickly, and let it go. If we don’t, they will build up and build up on the inside of us until we eventually get high blood pressure, cancer, or are sick all of the time. We can’t give in to those things my friends, for they will destroy us. We must make the choice to go forward without them.
Think of it like this. Every time a hurt comes it is like a bird building a nest on your head and laying an egg in the nest. Well, with the bird comes a lot of things you might not like to clean up, so just because a bird lands on your head doesn’t mean you should let it build a nest.
Take the hurts and give them to God. Ask him to take the pain of the hurt away and then forgive quickly! It isn’t worth having a life filled with misery by hanging onto the stuff that happened yesterday.
As the scripture says in Philippians 3:13, “…But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of god in Christ Jesus.”
You can’t go back and do it over, so let it go and go forward loosed from the pain. You will be glad you did!
