We pray that this newsletter and its contents that we share will help you on your daily journey with Christ, causing you to grow in the ways of the Lord.

The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity.

This is why we teach so that you can grow stronger in your faith until unity comes in the body of Christ. Take what you have learned and share it with others so that we can further the kingdom for Jesus Christ.

DON’T LOOK BACK

Are you hanging on to things from the past? Are there unresolved issues you keep pondering repeatedly? Do you wish you had done things differently? Are you sorry you made the choices you made?

My friend, you are living in the past that is dead and gone. You are never going to be effective for God, staying in the dead zone because there is no life there.

In Genesis chapter 18 we see the story of Abraham and Lot. Lot was Abraham’s nephew that travelled with him to the land of Canaan. They lived on the same land for a while, but disputes arose over land. Abraham gave Lot the privilege of choosing the land he wanted. He chose the fertile valley. Lot took his wife, daughters, all that he had gained in cattle and moved to the fertile valley where Sodom and Gomorrah were.

Unfortunately for Lot, it was a place of gross sin. Homosexuality ran rampant and God decided to destroy the cities. Abraham intervened for Lot and God sent two angels to Lot to tell them to leave the city before it was destroyed. As they story goes, they left Sodom and Gomorrah and were warned not to look back at the city or they would die. But there was a problem.

Lot’s wife just could not let go of her life in Sodom and Gomorrah and the lifestyle she had left behind. Even though she was warned not to look back, she still did look and instantly died and turned into a pillar of salt. She had been warned, but looking back was her choice and it resulted in her death.

Is your life like hers? Are you bound by the lifestyle of sin you once had, and things from your past? You must let go of the past failures and victories if you are to ever have a fruitful future. Do not be like Lot’s wife. Leave the past behind and go forth into new horizons with the Lord! Staying stuck in the past will eventually destroy you, just like it did to Lot’s wife.
