The Supreme Court just did the right thing! As Rick Perry has said, “Even a broken clock is right once a day.” They ruled that Alabama violated legal restrictions on racial gerrymandering. So Alabama must now draw another congressional district that is majority Black. This is a huge win for fair districting, for the people of Alabama, and for the country. This will likely be a Democratic district, meaning that we now need a net gain of only FOUR seats to take back the House next year.

This lends even more urgency to our work right now. We need volunteers to register Democrats at:

• in–person voter drives at every Pride event in the country
• in-person voter drives at every Juneteenth event possible 
• phone banks/text arcades/BYOP texting/postcarding/live voter drives into Ohio for their special election (with a 7/10 voter registration deadline) to stop Republicans from restricting abortion access
• all types of outreach into 12 target states to win it all in ‘24!

Never doubt that your volunteer hours and donor dollars are pushing things forward. Remember that there are thousands of people like you out there, all pushing in the same direction. And all of our small actions add up to big change.

JUNETEENTH: CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY BY REGISTERING DEMOCRATS!

On June 19th, we celebrate the end of slavery in America. Specifically, the day commemorates army General Granger reading “Order Number 3” to the people of Texas in 1865, announcing “all slaves are free.”

Juneteenth is a time to take stock of how far we’ve come, and how far we still have to go. And one of the best things we can do to fight for equality is register more Democrats! Because unlike the Greedy Old Party, we believe that everybody deserves the same fair chance to education, healthcare, housing, and opportunity.

We're looking for volunteers to register voters at Juneteenth events on Monday the 19th, or the weekend before. Bonus points if you can do it in our 12 target states: AZ, CA, GA, MI, MT, NC, NV, NY, OH, PA, WI and WV!

BIG NEWS: Thanks to your Adopt-a-State donor efforts, Field Team 6 has raised enough money to buy data on 30,000 unregistered likely Democrats in Montana and another 30,000 in Ohio! That’s a first step on the way to our goal of registering 3,000,000 new Democratic voters by the '24 election. By doing that, we can restore the Democratic trifecta that will pass game-changing voting rights, codify abortion rights, and beat back fascism once and for all.

We know this process works. In '22, Angel Treinen and Onward Toward Progress adopted Nevada and raised $55k for Field Team 6. That allowed us to conduct the most comprehensive outreach we've ever done. And it succeeded wildly, winning 3 swing House seats and 1 swing Senate seat, among other historic results.

PARKER TUBE FLOAT DRIVE!

Over the years we've held voter registration drives in loads of different places. But we're hard pressed to think of one as crazy fun as this: the 45th Annual Parker Tube Float.

As thousands of people don swimsuits and water shoes ahead of tubing down the Colorado River by the Parker Strip (between California and Arizona) we'll be there to take in the scene, register Democrats, and save the world.

Things get going on Saturday, June 10 at 8a MT (and will go to about noon) at La Paz County Park on the Parker, Arizona side of the river. We'll start with a 15-minute training before hitting the local hot spots, clipboards in hand and sunscreen and smiles on our faces. Click HERE for more info and to RSVP. OHIO... COME ON DOWN!

Ohio’s first voter registration deadline is fast approaching (July 10… yikes!) and there’s so much going on there. It’s a critical state this year AND next! First, there’s an August special election where Republicans are pushing a referendum to make it harder to pass future popular referendums. (It’s a naked power grab by one of the most corrupt GOP cabals in the nation.) We need to register enough Democrats right now to VOTE THIS DOWN.

Then by the November 2023 general election, we need to register enough Democrats to pass an amendment cementing abortion rights in the state constitution. And keep that momentum rolling into 2024 so we can re-elect Sherrod Brown, one of our most vulnerable (and best) senators, in order to keep our all-important Senate majority.

The Tennessee Three inspired a nation, and us... so we've done a deep research dive and identified four swing state house districts in Tennessee. 2 are repped by Democrats: we can keep them there. The other 2 are repped by Republicans: we can flip them. We'll also be registering new Democrats in the districts of The Tennessee Three, to lean into the movement those House Reps are leading so passionately.
