Ramadan Mubarak which means Happy Ramadan to all of our Muslim friends and families!

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, which is based on a 12-month lunar year of approximately 354 days. Because the lunar year is 11 days shorter than the solar year, each lunar month moves 11 days earlier each year. It takes 33 solar years for the lunar months to complete a full cycle and return to the same season. The month traditionally begins and ends based on the sighting of the new moon. Starting on April 1st, Muslims throughout the United States and the rest of the world will begin to search the sky for the new crescent or will follow a pre-determined date based on astronomical calculation. In 2022, the month long fast of Ramadan begins around April 2nd and ends around May 1st.

PTO Staff Appreciation Committee Needs your Help!

The PTO Staff Appreciation Committee is developing plans for ways we can meaningfully acknowledge our teachers and staff during the upcoming National Staff Appreciation week, May 2nd-6th. We would like to solicit funding support from the school community, particularly given that due to COVID constraints the conference meals have required the additional expense of catered meals.  This was a successful effort for us last year and we believe families will be eager again to acknowledge teachers similarly this year.

We have created this Sign-Up Genius link which allows the opportunity and instructions to families who wish to donate:
We could not do the wonderful things we do at our school without all of you and your never-ending support. We are a village and family for all of our 433 learners!
