Susan Lindgren School Yard Garden Update

Students have been working hard planting and weeding! This week we focused on all the animals that happened to share our veggies this week. Baby bunnies decided to eat a full garden bed of plants so Ms. Swan’s class helped to put up rabbit fencing. We’ll add more fencing over the next week to protect our plants.

Park Public Schools & Community Foundation

Do you know about the Park Public Schools & Community Foundation (PPS&CF)?  Every year, the PPS&CF raises funds & makes grants to teachers in preschool through high school for special projects that inspire & enhance our students’ education.  In the 2023-2024 school year alone, the Foundation was able to make grants totaling over $58,000!  Examples include paying for new play equipment for preschoolers, a potter’s wheel and slab at the Middle School, exciting field trips to bring classroom learning to life, a mobile makerspace, a kindness rocks garden project, innovative instruments combining engineering and music, and cutting edge technology bridging the physical education and science curriculums at the High School. We can’t wait to see what our teachers will do next school year with Foundation grants to make our students’ experiences even better!  To learn more about the Foundation and how you can support our schools, please visit  Park Public Schools & Community Foundation - St. Louis Park Public Schools Foundation (slppscf.org)
