Thomas Bullock, III grew up in South Hill, Virginia and graduated from Park View High School. He attended Southside Virginia Community College and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Police Science.
After graduating from SVCC, Thomas transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice. He worked for fourteen years in law enforcement and obtained a master's degree in Human Resources in Administration from Central Michigan University. He is currently the Director of Risk Services for VML Insurance Programs, which according to its website, is "t
he first and largest group self-insurance pool in the Commonwealth of Virginia." To continue providing professional consultative services to VML members, Thomas plans to seek further certifications in the industry.
Reflecting on his SVCC experience, Thomas says "I would encourage students to take advantage of the alumni network at SVCC. Choosing to go to community college allowed me to easily matriculate into the college experience thus alleviating some of the anxiety that many new college students experience."
