SVREP will conduct its boot camp training school to imbue skills and innovative policy strategies to local Candidates and organizers on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Los Angeles. 


The Latino Academy is back to help us keep up the Momentum this 2022. 


SVREP officially kicked off the Latino Academy in 1997 at St. Mary’s University, followed the one at the second training session held at Big Bear. Two hundred Latino leaders and elected officials took part in the opening sessions.     

           

This cycle, the Latino Academy sessions will help us empower the Latino community. SVREP’s Latino Academy conduct three tracks:

 

1. Candidate Campaign Training-Candidates running for office in 2023 and 2024. 


2. Organizers Training—Activists who care about making a difference in their community


Trainings will be conducted by experts and Latino leaders and elected officials.

The Council woman attended two SVREP Latino Academy Candidate Campaign training sessions and the GOTV training took the Oath Of Office for District 1 in Escondido, California as a Council member.

Who Should Attend?


Candidate Campaign Training: Candidates running for office in 2023 and 2024 and their field staff. The Candidate Campaign Training is recommended for Latino Elected Officials who are running for re-election. 


Organizers Training: Latino leaders, activists and elected officials interested in organizing voter registration drives in your community;  developing strategies to stop voter suppression efforts and organizing around issues such higher hourly pay, housing, and environmental issues.
