CHURCH STAFF UPDATES

· Ken McAlpin has been serving as interim Executive Minister in addition to his Worship Minister role for the past several months. The shepherds have developed a strong and trusting relationship with Ken and we are very pleased to announce that Ken is now the permanent Executive Minister, as well as, continuing to serve as our Worship Minister. Thank you, Ken, for serving in the interim role and accepting this permanent position and we look forward to 2022.

· Dana Moore has a deep and wonderful desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community. As most of you know, she has been the focal point for our community outreach for several years in addition to her office management role here at SW. We want to make certain her job title reflects her actual work and so we are very pleased to announce Dana Moore is now the Community Engagement Minister but will retain her office management role. She has the same exact job responsibilities but a job title that more accurately reflects her focus.

· We have been searching for someone to help lead our building and grounds effort as there is much to do to keep our facility running smoothly. We are very pleased to announce this morning that our brother Rickey Reynolds has agreed to join our SW staff for the next five months on a month to month basis as our Building and Grounds Coordinator. He has begun this part time work and we are just thrilled to have someone of Rickey’s caliber to fill this important role with our staff. Special thanks to our brother Bob Reddell for filling this gap in the short term.

· We continue to search for a male youth minister to work with Emily Cochran and we are currently screening several candidates for a potential fit.
