Updates from the SW Center and Educator Preparation Programs at KSC

Welcome to a New School Year

We hope you found time this summer to reflect on your "why" ~ the reasons you chose to be an educator and positively impact the lives of students ~ as well as get energized for the start of a new year of connecting, engaging, and learning.

The SW Center is here to support your needs in whatever ways we can by sharing resources and offering high quality professional learning opportunities.

2023 Summer Educators Institute Recap

The Summer Educators Institute was held on August 10th this year and was an overwhelming success. Our theme was Igniting Your Why ~ Celebrating Our Profession, and it was wonderful to be back in person again for the first time since 2019. Kelly Lynn Driscoll provided the keynote presentation, and we were fortunate to have Kelly along with a talented group of presenters share their expertise in several morning and afternoon breakout sessions. We also held a concurrent New Teachers Retreat on the same day.

Thanks to a generous Title II grant from the NH Education Department, the institute was free to all participants. Based on our evaluation feedback, those who attended had a very positive experience and left feeling energized for the upcoming school year. We are planning two virtual follow up sessions on September 26th and 27th for all who registered for the institute. Contact Beth Buoro for more information.

It's our hope to be back in the summer of 2024 with another Summer Educators institute - stay tuned for more information!
