· PROJECT VOLUNTEER SIGN UP SHEETS are posted on the windows by the office entrance. There are opportunities to overflow into the community in three ways: PHYSICAL, RELATIONAL, and PRAYER. The descriptions for each project are included on the sign-up sheet.
· The PHYSICAL PROJECTS might include things like: yard work, building a wheelchair ramp, cleaning, painting, etc.
· The RELATIONAL PROJECTS might include delivering treat bags to our health care workers or firemen or to our homeless population. We are currently asking Southwest to bring these items to the containers at the office entrance: pop tarts, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, chex mix, pretzels, packages of nuts, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, deodorant. Overall, just high protein and easy to eat on the go foods and simple hygiene items. Bags will be donated for the items, so those will not be needed.
· The PRAYER PROJECTS on the day of OVERFLOW will center around ASU, DOWNTOWN, AREA SCHOOLS AND places like Independent Living Facilities, Nursing Homes, Hospice Houses etc.
· In addition to the ‘day of,’ the leaders of these projects are asking for PRAYER REQUESTS from the community, as well as, the Church. Cards will be available on the communion tables for personal prayer requests. The cards with written requests can be placed in the same basket and should be returned by 10/1.
· Also available are bags with cards which can be used for your work or places you frequent. See Kimberly Shipley for a bag of cards.
