50th Anniversary Celebration

Southwest Family—

Thank you, thank you, thank you! It truly took a village to create the wonderful celebration atmosphere we all enjoyed! Whether you are someone who:

  • helped with the history of 50 years,
  • or addressed invitations,
  • or searched through photographs to share
  • or if you helped tassel the bookmarks
  • or put together chandeliers
  • or if you helped set up and decorate the gym
  • or helped create centerpieces
  • or if you brought a dessert
  • or provided the photo opportunity balloon arch
  • or if you greeted our guests
  • or helped serve drinks or desserts
  • or if you served on one of the food lines that moved like well-oiled machines
  • or stirred pasta, beans or coleslaw until you didn’t want to eat any
  • or if you’re one of those that kept the garbage cans emptied
  • or helped our family find a place to sit
  • or if you’re one of those that helped with clean-up after the Celebration
  • or if you were one of those on hand to be at my beck and call--

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

And if you’re Nick Carter, - meat smoker extraordinaire: A huge, HUGE thank you to you and your sidekick Ken Starnes.

A big thanks to Adam, Ken, Jimmy and Lane for the content of worship and the celebration!

A video montage is being created and will be available soon!

Southwest Church is a great Christ-Centered, Spirit Filled Family Making Disciples for Jesus. It is a blessing to watch God’s faithfulness whether you’ve been a part for 50 years or just a few! It was my honor to help plan and implement this wonderful day! God is good.  Darla
