SWANA Old Dominion News
President's Message
Happy Halloween to all our members! We are coming off a busy season here at the Old Dominion Chapter and are excited to be in planning preparation for next year. The 2019 Quad state Conference was another stellar event with Virginia representing 10% of the attendees; in 2021 this conference is coming back to Virginia so make sure you plan accordingly in those budgets! Our Programs Committee is working on site selections as you read this. We also recently completed the annual regulatory training with over 60 attendees, which without DEQ’s participation would not be possible. A lot of key topics were covered so make sure to visit the website to see the presentations ! Coming up we are excited to announce that the SWANA Executive Director David Biderman will keynoting our annual Safety Conference on November 7 th in Henrico, VA; make sure you sign up for this training as it will fill up fast, CEUS will be offered. Finally, make sure you take the opportunity to submit your abstract for the 2020 VRA/SWANA joint conference. We are heading back to the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront for the conference; presenters get a reduced attendance rate! Stay safe and enjoy the upcoming holiday season.
