It’s difficult for me to comprehend that it has been 16 years since I purchased SVQ from Dawn and Frank Mahar, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life! So many new friends have entered my life over the past years, from crew to you! Please join us to celebrate in any way that you can! The gifts are all for you, by the way, and I want everyone who joins us to get a sewing style gift. In addition, I will have some larger, grander gifts for ticket winners, and for these gift baskets, you need not be present for the drawing. | | I hope that in some small way I have added some joy and contentment into your life, also. Quilting, I found out early on, is a highly social, highly creative, highly entertaining avocation, one which draws like-minded people together in a positive way. There are numerous friendships which have begun through classes here, between instructors and students, staff members and class members. Great quilts have been gifted to friends, family and strangers with the intent of passing along comfort, love, great talent, remembrance of a loved one, and many other reasons. Uses by those receiving the quilt sometimes go to the dog or cat, but most often to someone’s bed or wall, to be passed along like an heirloom, to a family or person suffering from fire or other tragedy, as a gag gift to be remembered and maybe shared with other friends, for the new baby or someone just out of surgery. There are so many reasons that we hear about, and the common thread through them all is deep caring. That is what draws us together, I think. | | Be sure to share your stories with us. And…bring your credit card, because there will be many great bargains and sales for you with prices at their lowest on that day only!!! Come in, look around before the 13th, so you can have your questions answered ahead of time, and you will know exactly what large item you will be choosing! | | Lynn and I had a wonderful time at Grace for the Grace Partners meeting, and we will have some great info. for you. You know those great floor lightbars that help your eyes see so much better, that we have on the floor right now? We are putting them on a new special low price Saturday for you to purchase and carry home with you. New models will be arriving soon and we need the space, and we have 3 different sizes from the floor for you to choose. There is also a brand new Sit Down Quilting System on order, which I think you will love!!! It has a 19” throat space, includes the table, gives you great control and includes stitch regulation among many, many more new items. This is just a teaser for you, but we can take orders immediately!!! | | BERNINA feet will be on a huge sale price (yes, we are happy to place orders but you must pay for the items the party day to get the sales prices!), and we will have a special price for the new #50 Walking Foot for the 9 mm machines also.
