Improving Outcomes for Students of Color, Students Living in Poverty, and Students with Disabilities
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has announced it is investing over $10 million to launch the Charter Students with Disabilities Pilot Community. The SWIFT Education Center will receive $1.2 million in funding to offer intensive training for charter school leaders and principals to improve outcomes for black, Latino, and low-income students with disabilities.

Spots open now for Washington Inclusionary Practices professional learning!

SWIFT is offering Washington principals and assistant principals a virtual blended learning event across 4 weeks in June. The event is designed to equip them to simultaneously tackle the challenges of re-entry to school this fall and  continued improvement of equity and inclusion. The event is free to Washington education leaders, thanks to OSPI’s inclusionary practices project.

SWIFT Covid-19 Resources
As the Covid-19 pandemic began, we watched state and local education agencies, schools, and families spring into action, rapidly providing educators and students what they needed to change the way they do school. This caring, determination, and resourcefulness are exactly what we expect from this professional community!
